Field of interest: Financial and Administrative management of large European and National Research projects in the area of Toxicogenomics

Profile

Rob Schlooz graduated in Corporate Economics in 2001 at the Hogeschool Zuyd. He has worked for a year at the adminstrative department of a hotel in Maastricht before chosing a carreer as accountant with Deloitte. During this time he also attended NIVA-Nyenrode in order to complete his study for Registered Accountant (CPA). After partially completing this study he switched jobs from Deloitte to Maastricht University and filled a position at the Administrative Service Centre. In February 2006 he succesfully applied for the position of Project Administrator at GRAT. Currently he is involved in 2 European Research projects (NewGeneris and CarcinoGenomics) and several national projects of which the NTC Businessplan is the largest. His main role is to set up and manage budgets for the whole project period and to see to it that all guidelines are followed and all possible risks in the financial and adminstrative area of these projects are minimized.
